Terms & Conditions

Definition of Terms

Client: An individual who has purchased or engaged in any of the speech coaching services offered by The Speech Coach.

Coach: A professional speech coach employed by or contracted with The Speech Coach to provide coaching services to clients.

Session: A scheduled period of time during which speech coaching services are provided to the client by the coach.

Programme: A series of scheduled sessions purchased by the client as a package.

Booking: The process of scheduling a session or programme through our website, email, or phone.

Payment: The transfer of money from the client to The Speech Coach in exchange for services.

24-Hour Cancellation: The policy requiring clients to cancel or reschedule sessions at least 24 hours in advance to avoid being charged the full session fee.

No-Show: A situation where the client fails to attend a scheduled session without prior notice.

Expiry: The termination of validity of unused sessions after 12 months from the date of purchase.

Confidentiality: The assurance that information shared by the client during sessions will not be disclosed to unauthorized parties.

Limitation of Liability: A legal provision that limits The Speech Coach’s responsibility for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our services.

Introduction

Welcome to The Speech Coach. By engaging our speech coaching services, whether online, in-person, or recorded, you agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions. These terms and conditions are designed to ensure a professional and satisfactory experience for all clients.

Services Offered

The Speech Coach offers speech coaching services online, in-person and recorded formats. These services include, but are not limited to, public speaking coaching, accent reduction, voice training, and presentation skills coaching.

Booking and Payment

  1. Booking: All coaching sessions must be booked in advance through our website, via email, or by phone.
  2. Payment: Payment for all coaching sessions and packages must be made in full in advance and in cleared funds with the client taking responsibility for any transfer and exchange charges and rates.
  3. We accept major credit/debit cards and bank transfers.

Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy

  1. 24-Hour Cancellation: Unless otherwise stated, Clients must provide at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule a session. Cancellations or rescheduling requests made with less than 24 hours’ notice will incur the full session fee.
  2. No-Show Policy: Clients who do not show up for a scheduled session without prior notice will be charged the full session fee.

Validity of Coaching Programmes

  1. 12-Month Validity: All purchased coaching programmes must be used within 12 months from the date of purchase.
  2. Expiry of Sessions: Any coaching sessions not utilized within the 12-month period will expire and will not be refunded or carried over.

Client Responsibilities

  1. Commitment: Clients are expected to commit to the coaching programme and actively participate in sessions.
  2. Preparation: Clients should come prepared to each session with any required materials or assignments completed.

Coach Responsibilities

  1. Professionalism: Coaches will conduct all sessions in a professional manner and provide expert guidance tailored to the client’s needs.
  2. Confidentiality: Coaches will maintain the confidentiality of all client information and sessions.

Liability

  1. Limitation of Liability: The Speech Coach is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our services.
  2. Health and Safety: Clients are responsible for informing their coach of any health issues or concerns that may affect their participation in coaching sessions.

Guarantee

  1. The Speech Coach guarantees improvement in and movement towards the communication target/s as discussed and agreed by the Client.
  2. This guarantee is dependent on the Client following all the instructions and recommendations outlined by the Coach. This includes and is not limited to: completion of exercises, implementation of strategies, participation in sessions etc.

Termination of Services

  1. Termination by Client: Clients may terminate their coaching programme at any time but will not be entitled to a refund for any unused sessions.
  2. Termination by Coach: The Speech Coach reserves the right to terminate services if a client breaches these terms and conditions or if the coach deems it necessary for any other reason. In such cases, a prorated refund for unused sessions will not be provided.

Changes to Terms and Conditions

The Speech Coach reserves the right to update or modify pricing and these terms and conditions at any time. Clients will be notified of any significant changes.
