1. Definitions
For the purposes of these Terms & Conditions:

Coach refers to a professional speech coach engaged by The Speech Coach.

Session means a scheduled speech or voice coaching session.

Programme means a package of multiple speech coaching sessions.

Booking means the scheduling of sessions via the website, email, or phone.

No-Show means failure to attend a scheduled session without notice.

Confidentiality refers to the protection of information shared during coaching sessions.

The Speech Coach provides professional speech coaching, public speaking coaching, voice coaching, and executive communication coaching, delivered online and in person.

The Speech Coach provides expert coaching services, including but not limited to:

Services may be delivered online, in person, or via recorded content, depending on the programme booked.
4. Clinical Methods & Professional Accreditation
The Speech Coach incorporates evidence-based Speech and Language Therapy assessments and techniques where appropriate to support speech, voice, and communication outcomes.
Where clinical approaches are used, the Coach is a professionally registered practitioner, registered with:

The Association of Speech and Language Therapists in Independent Practice (ASLTIP)
Unless explicitly agreed in writing, services are provided as speech and communication coaching, not medical or therapeutic treatment.
Any techniques demonstrated in videos or online content are educational only and should not be self-applied without professional guidance.
5. Booking & Payment for Speech Coaching

All speech coaching sessions and programmes must be booked in advance.

Payment is required in full and in advance.

Clients are responsible for any bank charges, transfer fees, or exchange-rate costs.
6. Cancellation, Lateness, Illness & No-Shows
Sessions begin and end at the scheduled time.
Client Lateness
Late arrival does not extend the session duration.
10-Minute No-Show Policy
Failure to attend within 10 minutes without notice constitutes a No-Show. The session will be forfeited with no refund.
Illness
Non-attendance due to genuine illness is understood. Clients should notify The Speech Coach as soon as reasonably practicable. Repeated illness-related absences may result in termination without refund.
Coach Lateness or Cancellation
If the Coach is late, time will be made up in full.
If the Coach cannot attend, the session will be rescheduled or credited at no cost.
7. Programme Validity
Unless otherwise stated, all speech coaching programmes must be used within 12 months of purchase.
Unused sessions expire and are non-refundable.
8. Confidentiality & Session Recording
All speech coaching sessions are treated as confidential.
Sessions may be recorded for:

No identifiable personal information will be shared without consent.
9. GDPR & Data Protection Compliance

11. Environmental & Social Responsibility
The Speech Coach operates as a digital-first, low-waste service, prioritising online coaching and responsible resource use where possible.
12. Safeguarding & Enhanced DBS
Where coaching involves children or vulnerable individuals, the Coach holds a current Enhanced DBS (UK) and follows appropriate safeguarding practices.
13. Complaints Procedure
Clients are encouraged to raise concerns promptly.

Informal concerns should be raised directly with the Coach where appropriate.

Formal complaints may be submitted in writing to info@thespeech.coach.

Complaints are reviewed fairly and responded to in writing.

Complaints do not automatically entitle a Client to a refund.
14. Defamation & Online Reviews
Honest feedback is welcome.
Clients agree not to publish false or defamatory statements about The Speech Coach, including on Google Reviews or social media. Legitimate complaints may always be raised through the complaints process.
15. Intellectual Property & Brand Protection
All materials, frameworks, exercises, assessments, recordings, and methodologies used in speech coaching services are the exclusive intellectual property of The Speech Coach.
Clients may not:

copy or reproduce content

create derivative works

redistribute materials
-
train others using The Speech Coach’s methods
The name “The Speech Coach” and associated branding may not be used without written consent.
Unauthorised use may result in legal or injunctive action.
16. Limitation of Liability
The Speech Coach is not liable for indirect or consequential losses.
Clients remain responsible for how coaching advice is applied.
17. No Guarantee of Results
Speech and public speaking improvement depends on individual engagement and practice.
Specific outcomes cannot be guaranteed.
18. Termination
Clients may terminate services at any time.
All payments are non-refundable, including unused sessions.
The Speech Coach may terminate services where continuation is inappropriate or these Terms are breached.
19. Updates to These Terms
The Speech Coach reserves the right to update these Terms & Conditions at any time.
